Weifang, in central Shandong between Jinan and Qingdao, is the world capital of kites - the Weifang International Kite Festival is held every April and is the largest kite festival in the world. The city is also home to the Fangzi Old Town (a 100-year-old German-Japanese concession district), the Shihu Garden (a 1,500-year-old Ming-dynasty private garden in central Weifang), the Bohai Eye Ferris Wheel (the world's largest spokeless ferris wheel), and the Kuiwen District old town.
