About Yangquan
Yangquan, in eastern Shanxi on the western edge of the Taihang mountains, is the smallest prefecture-level city in Shanxi with 15 A-grade sites. The most-photographed attractions are the 4A Cuifeng Mountain, the 1,000-year-old Guan Yu Cultural Temple, the Yangquan Nanshan Forest Park, the 1,000-year-old Cangshan Mountain Taoist temple, and the 1,000-year-old Shinaoshan Mountain Forest. The prefecture is the most-underrated Shanxi destination, with 1,000-year-old Pingding county ancient villages, the 1,000-year-old Niangziguan Pass (the 'Niangzi' women's Great Wall pass), and the Yangquan Coal Museum.

A 4A combined park in Pingding county covering the 1,000-year-old Ming-Qing era village cluster with 20+ ancient courtyards, the 1,000-year-old Pingding stone-carved gate, and the 1,000-year-old Pingding county wall. The most-photographed Yangquan rural site.

Cangshan Mountain Taoist Temple (Yangquan)

Niangziguan Pass (Women's Pass)
A 4A 1,000-year-old Shanxi Taihang mountain pass in Pingding county, the most-photographed Shanxi eastern Great Wall pass, with the original 1,000-year-old Song-dynasty pass fortress, the 1,000-year-old pass-museum, and the 1,000-year-old pass-village cluster. The pass is famously associated with the Tang-dynasty female general's defense.

Yangquan Coal Museum
